NAME: Edmund "Eddy" Sangster
AGE: 27
SPECIES: Human
BACKGROUND & HISTORY:
Edmund is everything he wants to be. Positive, happy, enthusiastic. He’s the annoying poster-boy for teen movies. At least, that’s what he thinks. Despite the few that pity him due to his blindness, it’s all he knows.
According to the books he reads and the movies he listens in on, he feels more alive and fortunate as a blind man than what the seeing folk around him talk about, and wouldn’t change himself for the world. Despite the few with their needless stories about so-and-so’s aunt’s-husband’s-sister’s-
After all, he’s getting along a lot better than most.
With a close upper-middle class family and friends to surround him, there isn’t much to complain about. His family was a forgiving family. An educator for a mother and a vet tech for a father, they supported their children in whichever endeavors and careers they wanted to pursue, which included their youngest son, Edmund. He grew up with the knowledge that he could do just as much, if not, everything that a seeing person could. He ran track, he listened to sports and attended games. Edmund even took dancing classes for a short period. Growing up in a household with two other siblings, competition ran strong with them, and he would never turn down a good competition. In fact, joining a dancing class was the only type of competition he lost. If it wasn’t for those damned long legs of his, he’s certainly positive that he would’ve beaten his older sister.
Although he was completely competitive and shot to be the best sibling there was, he found himself finding a love with writing. A creative writing instructor helped push him to great lengths with his early education. Being the positive youth he was, he absorbed all that he could. Soon enough, he found himself in the bustling city of New York. Six years later, he obtained a creative writing bachelors and Irish studies masters from both Columbia and NYU respectively. Following his graduation, he worked as an editor with a publishing house for two years. During this time, he had met Luke, who assisted him with more braille-friendly things to make the few struggles in his life easier to manage.
Deciding that the ever-changing city of New York was too much for him to handle, and his urge to explore something new, he convinced Luke to bring him to Siren Cove, seeing the childhood home that belonged to his friend’s youth.
PERSONALITY:
Edmund is incredibly laid back and a positive individual. Very quit-witted and flirtatious, he tries to find a solution for any problem that comes tumbling before him. From trying to find a space to go down on a male, to trying to get them to take their clothes off, there’s no bounds to his creativity. Upon first meeting him, he comes off as your average flirtatious male. Charming and charismatic, one will rarely find him having a bad day.
OPINION OF THE RIVALRY:
Edmund knows nothing about the rivalry.
LIFESTYLE:
Edmund doesn’t define himself by sexuality labels. However, he prefers male company over female company, and has never been intimate with a woman. He works as a freelance editor out of Blue Ocean Loft and makes a decent amount to afford his lifestyle and living arrangements. He spends most of his time outside of his home working on his fitness; jogging, running, stretching and, when he feels the need, at the Thorton Recreation Center taking a few laps. However, between fitness and his home, he also tends to spend a good amount of time at Quill, being too tired most days to make a meal for himself.
POWERS & ABILITIES:
Edmund is human, however, he knows about the supernatural element of Siren Cove.
